We normally order takeout but decided to stop in today. The Thai dumplings are a bit different than I remember but still delicious. As always, the tofu pad Thai is delicious and we were adventurous and ordered orange chicken as well which was also very good. However, i think I will stay with takeout since I swear you get more pad Thai that way. Overall, still a delicious place!
Best Thai food I've had since moving to Indy 17 years ago. Shockingly not busy on a great weather Saturday just before spring. A little off the main roads which is the only reason I can imagine why. Parking available right out front, and absolutely terrific food. One of the best Thai iced teas I've had anywhere, and fast, attentive service. Hope to be back soon.
food so good it shut up the yappers— my friend and i can’t stop dreaming about the curry we ate last night. we got the mango curry and duck curry, plus fried tofu appetizer. it was all so so good. the curry was hot, creamy, and flavorful. a lot of other thai restaurants don’t serve mango curry, so i love that this is on the menu. the fried tofu was crispy and a good appetizer. the service was solid and friendly, and the atmosphere was dim and low-key, good for a date night or chill dinner.
Oh man. I don’t know how this place is not on the top of everyone’s “best Thai food places of Indy” list. If you like spicy, get Thai hot, you will have just enough burn to make it supremely enjoyable and it doesn’t take away from the amazing flavor of everything else. Top notch!
Holy moly... this place oh my god. If you want some authentic and incredibly delicious Thai food, do yourself a favor and eat here. The atmosphere is great, Johnny/Johnnie who served us is extremely friendly and funny! He was working alone the day we came and he was able to get us our food and drinks in great time, when we were done with our soup/salads he took those away and immediately replaced them with our entrees (I got the duck noodle soup, the duck was delicious and tender ugh so good, my partner got the thom yum soup with tofu he couldn’t stop until it was all gone!) and did the same when he brought our dessert, which was the fried banana with mango ice cream! My stomach is happy as well as my tastebuds. The check didn’t hurt the wallet either! 10/10 highly recommend.
Chiang Mai is a joint I honestly didn’t even know existed. I’m not a big fan of Thai food in general but recently, we made a visit here since the reviews looked good. Came at around 5:30 PM on a Saturday and they weren’t busy and had plenty of tables. We sat outside and our waiter was super friendly and attentive to our table. We started with the calamari and dumplings as an appetizer. The calamari was decent, the dumplings were pretty good. I settled for the Crab Fried Rice as my entree. I was overall super impressed! The portions are huge too and I couldn’t even finish it. The crab was fresh and the rice was great too. Overall, if you’re in Broad Ripple looking for a great Thai restaurant, this is the place!
Initially, I enjoyed the pictured basil fried rice on a chill and gloomy Saturday after an impromptu trek for a new and intriguing cologne. The atmosphere was so: quaint, inviting, yet soothing and undemanded. I exiled my self-indulgence for a moment to invite wife out to partake in a Sunday evening soiree of authentically spiced Thai cuisine at my new found secret. ...she too concluded, "this is some of the best in the city!"
I love this restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years for Thai in broad ripple and they don’t disappoint. Their curries are especially good, my favorites are the green and the massaman curries. Lots of vegan options, great lunch deals and nice staff.
